What installation involves
A vending machine install is short but exact. We confirm the position, check the delivery path, bring the machine in on a trolley or pallet jack, level it on adjustable feet, plug it into a dedicated 10 amp power point, commission the refrigeration where fitted, pair the cashless reader, load the first product run and vend-test every selection before we leave.
Most installs are finished in under an hour. Time is added by upper-floor delivery, tight doorways, after-hours building access or a position that needs an electrician to add a power point.
Site requirements before install day
- Roughly one metre of level wall space per machine, with clear frontage
- A standard 10 amp power point within about two metres, ideally dedicated
- A delivery path at least 900 mm wide with no step the trolley cannot clear
- Lift access and dimensions confirmed for any upper-floor position
- Loading dock or after-hours access booked where the building requires it
- Indoor or fully sheltered position for refrigerated machines

Power, refrigeration and running cost
A refrigerated snack, drink or combination machine draws roughly 400 to 700 watts while the compressor runs and far less between cycles, which lands most machines between $1 and $3 a day in electricity depending on ambient temperature and how often the door is opened. Ambient (non-refrigerated) machines are a fraction of that.
Machines should not share a power point with high-draw equipment, and an extension lead is not an acceptable permanent supply. If the position has no suitable outlet, an electrician adds one before install day.
