What you get for $2,450 to $5,950

The range reflects age and specification. At the lower end you are buying an older but sound combination vending machine that will trade reliably. At the upper end you are buying a late-model machine with a current controller, energy saving mode and a cabinet that still looks new in a corporate tea room.

Used combos are the best value machine on the used market: you get two revenue categories for one purchase price, and refurbished units are usually only a generation behind on cabinet styling.

  • Stripped, cleaned and sanitised inside and out
  • Every selection vend-tested before dispatch
  • Controller reflashed and price file loaded to your product list
  • Locks re-keyed and two sets of keys supplied
  • Payment system fitted and tested to your choice of acceptance

What is added on top of the machine price

Used machine pricing is deliberately quoted as machine-only so you are not paying for acceptance or freight you do not need.

Payment systemPrice
Cashless credit card reader (new, installed)From $550 installed
Coin acceptor / coin mechanism (used)From $295 GST inclusive
Note reader, accepts $5, $10 and $20 notesFrom $350 + GST

Payment systems are quoted separately so you only pay for the acceptance you need.

What to check before buying a used combination vending machine

Most disappointing second-hand purchases come from private sales with no testing. These are the things that actually determine whether a machine earns money.

  • Controller and board generation — can it still talk to a modern card reader?
  • Refrigeration deck hours, gas charge and door seal condition
  • Delivery sensing — without it, every failed drop is a refund and a complaint
  • Spiral and motor condition on every selection, not just a sample
  • Cabinet, glass and lock condition if the machine faces the public
  • Availability of spare parts for that model in Australia

Frequently asked questions

How much is a used combination vending machine in Australia?

Used combination vending machines sell from $2,450 to $5,950 + GST, plus a payment system from $295 and transport to site. Age, controller generation and selection count set the price within that range.

Do used machines come with a warranty?

Every machine is workshop tested and vend-tested before dispatch, and warranty is available on request. Ask when quoting so it is written into the invoice.

Can a used machine take card and phone payments?

Yes, provided the controller supports MDB, which almost all machines from the last two decades do. A new cashless reader is from $550 installed and accepts tap, phone and watch payments.

Is a used vending machine a good first machine?

For most new operators, yes. It lowers the cost of proving a site, and if the location does not perform you have far less capital tied up in it.

How many people does a combination vending machine suit?

As a rule of thumb, a combo comfortably serves 20 to 120 people on site. Above that, most locations move to a separate drink machine and snack machine so popular lines do not sell out mid-week.

Can a combination machine hold 600 ml bottles and cans together?

Yes. The drink section is set up with adjustable spirals or shelves so 375 ml cans, 600 ml bottles and 500 ml sports drinks can run in the same machine.

Machine sizes, specifications and PDF spec sheets

Every machine type we place free or sell outright, with real heights, widths, depths, weights, selection counts, capacity, power draw and temperature ranges. Measure your space against these figures before you order — 9 current models across 1 category. Most floor-standing machines are 1,830 mm high and need a single-phase 10 amp power point within two metres, plus about 100 mm clearance behind for airflow.

Every model has a one-page PDF spec sheet you can download and hand to your electrician, builder or facilities manager.

New machine supply, spare parts and national technician support come through our affiliation with Automatic Vending Specialists (AVS). We are affiliated with AVS, so every new machine quoted from this page is a current Australian-supplied model with local parts, manuals and technician support behind it.
