Why prices sit in a range
Two used snack machines can be $1,650 and $4,950 on the same day. The gap comes from age and controller generation, selection count, cabinet and glass condition, whether the machine has delivery sensing, and how recently the refrigeration deck was serviced.
A machine going into a corporate reception needs to look as-new. A machine going into a workshop only needs to work- but both need to function correctly. We will tell you honestly which end of the range your site actually needs.

Is a used vending machine worth it?
For most buyers, yes. Vending machines are built for a decade of commercial duty, so a machine with a tested deck and a modern controller has plenty of working life left. The real risk in vending is not machine age — it is putting a machine in a site with not enough foot traffic.
Buy used, prove the site, and upgrade to new once the numbers justify it.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a used vending machine in Australia?
From $1,650 + GST for a snack machine, $1,950 for a drink machine, and $2,450 for a combination or specialised machine, up to $5,950 for late-model units. Payment system and transport are additional.
What is added to the machine price?
GST, your payment system (coin acceptor from $295 GST inclusive, note reader from $350 + GST, credit card reader from $550 installed) and transport to your site.
Do used machines take card payments?
Yes. Any machine with an MDB controller — effectively all modern machines — can run a new cashless reader from $550 installed for tap, phone and watch payments.
Can I inspect the machine before buying?
Yes. Inspections are welcome by appointment, and we can send photos, model details and vend-test results for interstate buyers.
Do you take trade-ins or buy used machines?
We do buy suitable machines and consider trade-ins against a purchase. Send the make, model, age and photos for an assessment.
Can we move the machine to another part of the building later?
Yes, and it is worth doing if the first spot underperforms. Relocating within the same site is arranged on a normal service visit. Position matters more than most people expect: line of sight from a walkway typically lifts sales more than any product change.
What is the difference between buying and having one supplied?
Buying gives you the full margin on every sale and the asset on your books, along with refilling, breakdowns and stock control. Having one supplied costs nothing and removes all of that work, but the sales margin stays with the operator. The ROI calculator shows which one wins at your volume.
Do you take trade-ins or buy back older machines?
Sometimes, depending on platform, condition and where the machine sits. Machines with a healthy controller and a current payment system are worth the most. Send photos of the front, the interior and the compliance plate and you will get a straight answer, not an inspection fee.
