What a vending machine specification covers (Definition)
A vending machine specification is the set of physical and electrical facts that determine whether a machine fits your site: external dimensions, door swing, weight, power requirement, temperature band, capacity and payment hardware.
Three of those decide most installs. Width and door swing decide whether it fits the room; the power point decides whether it can be plugged in where you want it; and the temperature band decides what you can legally sell from it.

Site requirements before delivery
We check all of this before delivery. The most common cause of a failed install in Australia is a single step at a rear door that nobody mentioned.
- A clear delivery path at least 1,000 mm wide, with no step the trolley cannot cross
- A standard 240 V 10 amp power point within 1.5 m — no extension leads or double adaptors
- Level floor able to carry 300 to 450 kg loaded
- 50 mm clearance behind and above the machine for refrigeration airflow
- Mobile signal or site Wi-Fi for telemetry, which most machines find without help
How to choose a model, step by step
- Step 1 — Count the people with daily access and the hours they are on site.
- Step 2 — Choose the categories you need: ambient, chilled, fresh, frozen or PPE.
- Step 3 — Measure the wall width, door swing and delivery path.
- Step 4 — Confirm the power point and, for frozen, a dedicated circuit.
- Step 5 — Compare the shortlisted models on the per-model spec sheets and request a quote.
Per-model spec sheets and PDFs
Every machine we supply has its own listing page with exact dimensions, capacity, selection count, refrigeration data and a downloadable PDF spec sheet. Those pages sit under the machine listings index, and are the authoritative numbers for a quote or a tender.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a standard vending machine?
Most Australian floor-standing machines are about 1,830 mm high, 900 mm wide and 830 to 900 mm deep, and weigh 300 to 450 kg loaded. Allow extra width for the door to swing.
How much power does a vending machine use?
Ambient snack and PPE machines draw under 1 kWh a day. Chilled drink and combo machines use 3 to 8 kWh, fresh food 6 to 10 kWh and frozen 8 to 14 kWh.
Does a vending machine need special wiring?
No, except frozen machines, which should have a dedicated 10 amp circuit. Everything else runs from a standard 240 V 10 amp power point with no extension lead.
How many selections does a machine have?
Snack machines run 30 to 45 selections, drink machines 6 to 10 columns, combos 30 to 45 across both zones, and fresh food 20 to 40 depending on the shelf configuration.
Can I get a PDF spec sheet?
Yes. Every model listing has a downloadable PDF spec sheet with exact dimensions, capacity and electrical data, suitable for tender and facilities approval.
Which machine suits our headcount?
As a guide: under 20 people a snack machine or small combo, 20 to 120 a combo, and above 120 a separate drink machine and snack machine so popular lines do not sell out.
Need the exact numbers?
